Privacy

This website introduces the two houses and lets you ask about availability. It has no forms to fill in and uses no analytics or advertising cookies. The only outside service, the Google map, loads only if you accept it. Below is a short account of what happens to your data.
Who handles your data
The two houses are two separate tourist rentals with two different owners, who handle the requests coming from this site together. They are therefore joint controllers (Art. 26 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR):
- Rosa Montalto, owner of Villa Rosa 1 (CIN IT090047C2000U6693)
- Giuseppe Loddo, owner of Villa Rosa 4 (CIN IT090047C2000U5982)
Availability requests reach both of them, and they read and answer them together. Once you choose a house, the data about your stay is handled by the owner of that house. For any privacy question you can write to info@villarosaolbia.it: the message reaches both, and you can exercise your rights against either of them.
When you visit the site
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which records technical data such as IP address, browser and requested page in order to run and protect it. Netlify acts as a processor on our behalf. As it is a US company, data is transferred to the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Fonts are served from our own server, not from outside services. The site contains no embedded videos or social buttons. The Google map in the “Where” section loads only with your consent: details are in the cookie policy.
When you write to us
If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we handle the data you give us: name, email address or phone number, dates of stay, number of guests and whatever else you choose to write. We use it only to reply and, if you wish, to arrange the booking. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
If no booking follows, we delete the messages within 12 months. If you do book, we keep the data for as long as tax and administrative obligations require.
WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, which handles conversation data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. The mailbox is hosted by the domain provider, which handles messages only on our behalf.
During your stay
On arrival, Italian law requires us to collect the details of guests’ identity documents and report them to the police (Art. 109 of the Consolidated Law on Public Security). It also requires us to report stays, anonymously, for tourism statistics and to apply any tourist tax. Here the legal basis is a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). We give you the details at check-in.
What we do not do
We do not sell or pass on your data to anyone. We do not use it for advertising or newsletters, and we make no automated decisions about you.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. It stores only your choice about the map in your browser, so it does not ask again on every page. Everything is explained in the cookie policy.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to its processing or receive it in a readable format (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). Just write to info@villarosaolbia.it. We reply within one month.
If you believe your data is being handled improperly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, garanteprivacy.it, or with the authority of the country where you live.
Changes
If we change the way we handle data, we update this page and the date at the top.
